It was a busy week in math class

We finished up the chapter on inequalities and equations.  The assessment was Thursday in class.  These will be graded and entered into the gradebook soon.  Also there were conferences on Thursday and more again on Tuesday of next week.

Friday we are going to complete the course benchmark 3 from the big ideas math website.   Before starting chapter eight we are going to take some time to review any gaps we've noticed so far.

Please complete this survey today before starting the benchmark survey:

Back in the saddle

Actually, I've only ridden a pony and it was quite scary for me.  Anyways, I'm back to school full time and excited to see how much the students have learned and how much we need to fix.  This week we are going to be re-checking math facts to make sure we have the basics covered.

Today we are starting with a review sheet of problems from the start of chapter seven.  It is a start to algebra and how to show the process even though they are not difficult it's all about the process.

1. Student review sheet (going to try to get these corrected right away to see if there are gaps)

2. Khan Academy
 - we need to make sure we are signed up in the right "class" so the progress is kept properly

3. Introduction to xtramath.org

4. Reset computer and classroom expectations for each class.

5. Good video on graphing equations

6a. If there is time, find a game on hoodamath and dominate it.

or

6b. Go to www.khanacademy.org and choose a 6th or 7th grade skill to complete or do all of the mastery challenges that are on your list.
