Today, please start with the following Khan activities. First, go to Khan and sign in, then open a new tab or window to click on the following links, they will help you practice and work towards mastery of our current skills.
Do them in order and make sure you ask questions if you are stuck or not sure how to complete them.
The term ends today, so we'll make sure to do a level up on either Wednesday or Thursday.
This blog started as a math tool when I was a middle school math teacher, I've moved to other career options now and will broaden out the content. Welcome.

Geometric Shapes and Isometric Drawings
Today we are looking more at the Geometry standard, specifically nets and shapes.
First check out this game to get ready for today's topic:
http://www.mathplayground.com/cube_perspective.html
Let's look at what you're supposed to have a working knowledge of before we start. You should be able to find the area of rectangles and triangles using a formula. You should also be able to find them using whole numbers and fractional or decimal numbers.
Isometric Drawing Video
We'll practice drawing some of these today using blocks from the front table.

Tuesday, Multiplication of Fractions review
Greetings, only a few days away from spring break. We'll be starting our next chapter when we come back, so it's a great time to review and re-learn some skills that we did earlier.
Today:
1. RPJ page 34, rip it out and turn it in to the basket when you have completed it. Here's something that might help:
2. Complete at least 15 minutes of www.khanacademy.org your goal is to master as many skills as possible, so do the mastery challenges when you can!
3. Complete www.xtramath.org for the day, let me know if you finish the whole program.
4. If you had some struggles on your inequalities portion of the assessment, watch this video to help you see another perspective of another teacher-type person showing it.
