Monday before Thanksgiving

Today we are going to explore a geometry website called desmos that allows us to plot points and do some other cool stuff.

Review today, Test tomorrow

Today we worked on a review of test type questions from Chapter 4 in the Big Ideas Math online assignments.  I really believe these reviews are going to prepare us so well for any type of test we encounter this school year.

Log in to Big Ideas Math for a practice test as well if you want extra practice before the actual assessment tomorrow.

(I was going to put a funny geometry cartoon down here, but couldn't find a great one, so find one you like on your own and then laugh)

The ending of polygons (for now)

Today we'll wrap up the chapter working towards the review on Wednesday and the assessment on Thursday of this week.

Here is your list of required tasks for the day:

1. Complete your www.bigideasmath.com assignment from yesterday.  If your score is too low I will un-submit it and let you know.  Do your best!

2. Try out this game: http://mrnussbaum.com/stockshelves/

3. Check for any other missing assignments that are considered "overdue" on Big Ideas.  Complete them.

4. go to www.khanacademy.org and work on any recommended skills that you still have to complete. They will help you a ton on the level up.

5.  If time, please work on hoodamath or another area that will help you improve your math abilities.  Or else read.  :)

Coordinate Plane and figures

Today we are going to be looking at the coordinate plane. The main point is to be able to plot points, make a plane, construct the geometric shape, and then find the area and perimeter of said shape.

Friday's math stuff

Today we did a Big Ideas (non-graded) quiz to get the feel of how computer tests work.  This should be excellent practice for any computer assessment we take.

Also, we did a Kahoot that focused on area of polygons as a review.

In cares we watched a short video about the changing of the guard for Veteran's Day.
